Around 80.39 percent of students have passed this year's SSC and equivalent examinations — 7.05% lower than last year’s pass rate.
Of the 20,72,163 students who appeared for this year’s SSC and equivalent exams, a total of 16,41,140 — 7,96,404 male and 8,44,736 female students — passed.

A total of 1,83,578 students have obtained GPA-5 — 86,024 less than last year. Among them, 84,964 are male students and 98,614 female.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni presented the summary of the results of SSC and equivalent examinations in front of journalists at the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in Dhaka today.

Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and chairmen of the education boards were present on the occasion.
Earlier today, the education minister handed over the summary of the 2023 SSC and equivalent exams result to Prime Minister Shikh Hasina at the PMO.
The average pass rate of 9 general education boards in the country is 80.94 percent. A total of 13,22,446 students have passed. A total of 1,59,220 students got GPA-5.

On the other hand, the pass rate of Madrasa education board is 74.70 percent. A total of 6,213 students have obtained GPA-5.
The pass rate of the technical education board is 86.35 percent. A total of 18,145 students obtained GPA-5.
Students of 29,798 institutions under 11 education boards, including nine general education boards, took part in this year's examination at 3,810 centers.
