Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General (DG) Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan on Monday said that they will work with professionalism to maintain law and order during the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election scheduled for January 7.
He also ordered every member of BGB to stay alert to thwart any kind of violence and sabotage centering the election.

The BGB DG said this while exchanging views with BGB members after visiting BGB base camps set up on the occasion of electoral deployment in Kushtia, Jhenaidah and Magura districts today.
He said the paramilitary force will be vigilant along with other law enforcing agencies to prevent any sabotage before, during and after the election.

BGB will also be active to ensure that voters can come to the polling centers and exercise their voting rights without any hindrance, he said.
Senior officials of the BGB headquarters, Jashore Region Commander, Kushtia Sector Commander, Captain of Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB) and Maheshpur Battalion (58 BGB), and other officials were also present.
