SUST, Oct 26 (UNB) – Five examinees were detained for adopting unfair means in the entry tests of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology on Saturday.
Admission seekers sat for ‘A’ unit entry test at 32 centres on the campus from 9:30am while the ‘B’ unit intake test was held from 2:30pm at 46 centres in and out of the university.
Professor Zahir Uddin Ahmed, convener of the disciplinary sub-committee of the admission test and proctor at the university, told UNB that on the basis of secret information, they challenged the five students and detained along with electronic devices from four exam centres.
A total of 71,018 students vied for 1,703 seats at the university this year.
