Tarique holds organisational meeting with Rangpur BNP leaders


Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Saturday held an organisational meeting with grassroots leaders from Rangpur division as part of the party's ongoing efforts to further strengthen its organisational structure across the country.

The meeting was held in the afternoon at the BNP Chairman’s political office in the capital's Gulshan.

Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said the meeting was part of a series of organisational discussions being conducted by Tarique Rahman with party leaders from different regions.

"This is part of a series of organisational meetings. BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is holding these discussions to keep the party organisation strong at the grassroots level," Rumon said.

He said the BNP chief is directly reviewing the condition of the party organisation at the grassroots and providing necessary directives to local leaders.

Leaders from Rangpur metropolitan, Rangpur district, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat districts attended the meeting.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Organising Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu and Assistant Organising Secretary Abdul Khaleque, among others, were present.

Earlier, on July 20, Tarique Rahman held a similar organisational meeting with grassroots leaders from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Panchagarh districts as part of the party's nationwide organisational strengthening campaign.
