“The relationship between nature and tourism is inseparable. The development of tourism is also related to the improvement of the natural environment. Bangladesh’s tourism will be enriched with greeneries as a result of planting one crore trees all over the country,” he said.
He was speaking at a tree plantation event organised by the Jatiya Sangsad on its premises as part of the one crore tree plantation programme announced by the Prime Minister on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said a handout.
“The Father of the Nation had focused on the development of the country while maintaining the balance of nature. That unfinished work of Bangabandhu is going on under the leadership of his acclaimed daughter, honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” the state minister said.

Mahbub Ali noted that green nature is the strongest part of tourism in Bangladesh. “The more we take care of nature, the more attractive tourist spots could be presented to the tourists.”
He, however, reminded all concerned that no tourist centre can be built at the cost of nature and while the construction of tourist facilities, importance should be given to protecting the ecology of the area.
