Three motorcyclists were killed after a truck rammed their motorbike on Kishoreganj-Bhairab regional highway in Bajitpur upazila on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Rakib, 20, son of Habib Mia, Noor-e-Alam, 17, son of Nidhu Mia of Pirijpur village in Bajitpur, and Nayon, 22, son of Abul Kalam of Matlabpur village in Sadar upazila.
Md Abdus Sobhan, officer-in-charge of Kotiadi Highway Police Station, said the goods-laden truck crashed into the motorbike in front of Pirijpur Yusuf Ali Market around 1:30pm, leaving all three bikers dead on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital, he said, adding that they seized the truck and arrested its driver.
