He gave the directives at a meeting with the chief executives of the state-owned Petrobangla and its subordinate gas distribution companies to review their activities through a video conference from his home.

Underscoring the need for taking pragmatic steps for reducing system loss in gas distributions, Nasrul Hamid said the companies have to make realistic plan considering the situation.
He directed the company officials to send their reports on their financial situations so that recovery and survival plan could be taken up to overcome the future situations.

The virtual meeting was attended by senior secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division Anisur Rahman, Petrobangla chairman ABM Abdul Fattah, Titas Gas Company managing director Ali Md Al Mamun, Karnaphuli Gas Company managing director Khaiz Ahmed Majumder, Pashchimanchal Gas managing directior Md Abdul Patwari, Bakhrabad Gas Company managing director Md Shahinul Islam, Jalalabad GasCompany managing director Md Shariful Islam and Sundarban Gas Company managing director Syed Md Nasir.
