A group of alleged drug peddlers stabbed two policemen and snatched away two accused in drugs cases at Yusufpur village in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured policemen — Yusuf Ali and Biswajit, both constables of DB — were undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
Rafiqul Alam, additional superintendent of Rajshahi Police, said a team of DB police conducted a drive at the house of one Masken Ali around 4:30 pm on Wednesday.

During the drive they arrested Rubel and Raihan along with 170 bottles of phensedyl while three of their associates — Arif, Agun and Pavel — managed to flee the scene.
Later, the three suddenly attacked police and stabbed them indiscriminately, leaving the two constables injured.
They also snatched away the two arrestees from police custody.

On information, another team of police rushed to the spot and rescued the policemen and arrested three people including Masken Ali.
