Two young men were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles on the elevated section of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Monday evening.
The deceased were identified as Ejajul, 20, son of Dulal Mia from the Hajrahati area under Nagarkanda municipality, and Swadhin, 20, son of Shahadat Sarkar from Jiakhuli area of the same upazila.
The injured are Nasim, 20, son of Rahman Matubbar from Jiakhuli, and Rajon, 21, son of Shawkat from Bharaidanga area under Nagarkanda upazila.
According to police and locals, the collision took place around 7:30pm, leaving Ejajul and Swadhin dead on the spot and injuring two others.
The bodies were taken to the highway police station, while the injured were admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge Md Touhid Ahmed of Bhanga Highway Police Station said legal procedures are currently underway.
