Some unidentified arsonists on Saturday night set two more buses on fire in the capital's Jatrabari and Gulistan areas ahead of the countrywide 48-hour blockade to be enforced by BNP and like-minded opposition parties from tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
A Shomoy Niyontron bus was torched in front of Sundarban Square Super Market in Gulistan around 9:00pm, said Talha Bin Zashim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence's media cell.
Two firefighting units from Siddique Bazar Fire Station are working to put out the blaze, he added.
Meanwhile, a bus of Anabil Paribahan was torched in front of a fruit market in Jatrabari around 9:27 pm.
Two firefighting units from Postogola Fire Station reached the scene to douse the blaze, added the official.
Earlier, unidentified miscreants set two passenger buses on fire in Notre Dame College and Gabtoli Bus Stand areas in Dhaka city tonight.
