Six entrepreneurial projects have been awarded for their innovative ideas in "Food Frontiers: Urban Food Systems Innovation Challenge Competition 2021."
Food Frontiers is an innovation challenge for youth entrepreneurs to bring disruptive innovation in the urban food system of Bangladesh.
The six winners – Jackfruit 360 Degree, Inspira, Dr Recycle BD, Ghost Kitchen Bangladesh, Green Gain, and Ipage – received the awards at a virtual ceremony Wednesday night.

The awardees will get a total of $26,000 for implementing their business ideas and scaleup.
The young entrepreneurs will now work to motivate people to consume safe food and reduce their health risks. They will also try to ensure sustainable development of the environment by implementing smooth market management through their innovative models.
The judging parameters in the competition were innovation, nutrition impact, socio-economic impact, commercial viability, scalability, affordability, and adaptability.

The Sun Business Network Bangladesh with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and World Food Programme as co-convenors in association with the Ministry of Industries of Bangladesh, and Stellar Value Partners as its accelerator organised the competition.
The competition was organised to promote the consumption of safe, nutritious and healthy food in urban areas.
Initially, some 85 entrepreneurs took part in it. Later, six out of 12 participants were picked for the awards – based on the effectiveness of their business models.
