US-Bangla Airlines has selected 21 student pilots for training in the United States.
In the first phase on Tuesday, 10 trainees will leave for a 10-month flight training course at Epic Flight Academy in Smyrna Beach, Florida, said a press release.
In the second phase, 11 trainees will leave the country in June. Upon completion of the flight training course, trainees will receive the Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot Licence (FAA CPL), it said.
After completing the flight training, the trainees will be appointed as trainee first officer of ATR 72-600 aircraft at US-Bangla.
Us-Bangla with the help from Bangladesh Air Force, selected the 21 trainees from about 6,500 contestants between May to July 2022, added the press release.
US-Bangla has more than 2,350 employees, including more than 190 domestic and foreign pilots, the release said.
