The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers for all eight divisions, including Dhaka, over 24 hours starting at 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely at most places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in certain areas,” according to a Met office bulletin.

Both day and night temperatures may decrease by 1-2°C nationwide.
The monsoon trough extends through India’s Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal to Assam, crossing northern Bangladesh. An associated trough reaches the north Bay, indicating active monsoon conditions over Bangladesh and moderate to strong activity over the north Bay.
