Masoud Pezeshkian has sharply criticised Donald Trump, questioning his authority to deny Iran its nuclear rights.
According to remarks reported by the Iranian Student News Agency, Pezeshkian said the US has no valid justification for restricting Iran’s access to nuclear capabilities.
His comments come amid ongoing disagreements between Washington and Tehran over nuclear issues, reports AL Jazeera.
Pezeshkian argued that Trump claims Iran should not be allowed to exercise its nuclear rights without specifying any wrongdoing. “He says Iran cannot use its nuclear rights, but does not explain for what offence,” he said, adding, “Who is he to deny a nation its rights?”
