A woman and her two minor children were found dead at their home in Bandarban district's Champatoli on Friday night, police said.
The deceased were identified as Mazeda Begum, 40, wife of an expatriate in Kuwait, Nur Mohammad, and their two children -- 13-year-old son Rafi and 10-month-old daughter Noori.
Their bodies were discovered by Abdul Khalek, brother of Nur Mohammad, on Friday night, police said.
Assistant superintendent of Lama Circle Police Reazwanul Islam said, "Getting no response from his sister-in-law, Abdul peeped through the window of the house around 7.30 pm and found the bodies of the trio lying on the floor."
Cops were soon informed and a team from the local police station recovered the bodies after breaking open the door of the house around 8.15 pm.
Police have arrested six people in connection with the deaths.
Those arrested have been identified as Shah Alam, Mohammad Khaled, Abdur Rashid, brother-in-law of Nur, Rahela Begum, elder sister of Nur, Rabiul, younger brother of Nur and Saidur Rahman.
Police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the alleged killings.
