A day-long robotics training workshop was held on Saturday for young students from different educational institutions in the capital, including children of members of the Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB).
Organised jointly by CRAB and Wings Foundation Bangladesh with technological support from the volunteer organisation, the workshop titled “ROBOGENESIS: Igniting the Future of Robotics”was held at the CRAB auditorium in Segunbagicha.
The initiative aimed to encourage young people to develop an interest in technology and robotics and prepare them for a technology-driven future.
During the workshop, the students received hands-on training on the fundamentals of robotics, project design and the use of modern technologies.
Inaugurating the workshop, CRAB General Secretary M M Badshah said, “AI and robotics will lead the technology of tomorrow. Therefore, we need to familiarise and equip our young generation with these technologies from now on.”
He said the workshop was organised to provide children of CRAB members with basic knowledge of robotics and that further training programmes on AI, coding and other modern technologies would be arranged in the future.
Wings Foundation Bangladesh Co-Founder and Chief Director Daud Ahmed Sad said, “We build robots with technology, but we build the future with our thoughts, creativity and courage.”
