A 20-year-old man suffered burn injuries in a crude bomb explosion in the Mirpur-11 area of the capital on Tuesday night.
The incident took place around 8:30pm, police said.
The injured, identified as Papon, was taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Dr Sultan Mahmud Sikder, resident surgeon (Emergency) at the institute, said Papon had suffered flame burns covering around 20 percent of his body.
The explosion took place amid labour unrest as garment workers had been staging demonstrations in different industrial belts, including Mirpur, over the last few days demanding a monthly minimum wage of Tk 30,000.
