The Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) has formed a 23-member Board of Directors, with BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman as President and Dr. Zubaida Rahman as Vice President.
The announcement was made through a press release of the ZRF on Wednesday.
The other board members include Executive Director Prof Farhad Halim Donar, Directors Prof Morshed Hasan Khan, Prof Abul Hasnat Md Shamim, Dr Syeda Tajneen Waris Simki, Dr Shah Mohammad Aman Ullah, Dr Mustafa Aziz Suman, Agriculturist Khondkar Mahfuzul Haque Bacchu, Engineer Mahbub Alam, Prof Lutfur Rahman, Advocate Mohammad Ali, Amirul Islam Kagoji, Barrister Zaimah Rahman, Prof ABM Obaidul Islam, Agriculturist Anwarunnabi Majumder Babla, Agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Barrister Mir Helal, Professor Sheikh Munir Uddin, Engineer AKM Zahirul Islam, Agriculturist Shafiul Alam Didar, Engineer Umasha Uman Mani Chowdhury, and Journalist Hafiz Al Asad Sayed Khan.
The press release stated that the Board of Directors has been formed in place of the central executive committee, in accordance with the constitution of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF).
The Ziaur Rahman Foundation was established in 1999 in memory of BNP's founder and late President, Ziaur Rahman.
This non-profit voluntary organisation, operating under the slogan "One initiative, a little effort will bring prosperity, and the country will achieve self-reliance," works for the welfare of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged people.
