The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Bangladesh's primary capital market, experienced a positive trend in the first hour of trading on Monday, with a total turnover of Tk 150.2 crore.
According to trading records, a total of 7.46 crore shares and units were exchanged through 49,331 transactions during this period. A total of 376 companies participated in the trading session. Among these, 273 companies saw their share prices increase, 48 experienced declines, and 55 remained unchanged.
DSE ends first day of trading week slightly down
The benchmark index, DSEX, rose by 26.83 points to reach 5,211.88 points. Meanwhile, the DSES Shariah index climbed by 6.22 points, settling at 1,171.76 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index increased by 5.72 points, reaching 1,916.76 points.
