The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Sunday's trading through a downtrend.
The DSEX (broad index) decreased by 25.16 points to 5,196.41 points, compared to 5,221.57 points in the previous (Thursday) trading session.
The Shariah-based DSES index decreased by 5.19 points to 1162.16 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index rose slightly by 3.11 points to settle at 1935.18 points.
A total of 10.98 crore shares and units changed hands through 106414 transactions, seeing slight decrease from the previous session when 10.14 crore shares changed hands through 110039 transactions. A total of Tk 312.9 worth of shares and bonds were traded in the DSE on Sunday, which saw a decrease from the previous session.
Out of the 397 issues (companies) traded, 66 advanced, 281 declined and 46 remained unchanged at the DSE.
The port city bourse, CSE, settled on an upward trend. The All Share Price Index (CASPI) increased by 54.63 points and settled at 14468.05 points.
On the CSE, 176 companies participated in trading. Of them, 42 companies recorded price gains, 110 companies saw declines, and 24 companies remained unchanged.
At the CSE shares and units of 2.65 crore changed hands through 1525 transactions on Wednesday. The value of trading shares and units was Tk 115 crore.
