Emirates took away four more gold trophies in key categories: Long-haul Airline, Business Class, In-flight Entertainment and Frequent Flyer Program. Its silver haul included: Economy Class, Cargo Airline of the Year, In-flight Meal in Economy Class and In-flight Meal in Business Class categories.
Since the inception of the awards, Emirates won the Best In-flight Entertainment on all eight occasions and Airline of the Year on six occasions, said a press release.
Airline of the Year is one of the most prestigious awards in the Bangladesh’s aviation sector. The Bangladesh Monitor, a premier aviation and tourism publication of the country, recognizes the best airlines in various service categories based on the frequent flyers’ opinion poll. This year around 3,000 frequent flyers cast votes online, which was reviewed by an independent jury drawn from representatives of various professional and social groups.
Saeed Abdulla Miran, Emirates Country Manager for Bangladesh, said: “These awards are a definitive verdict from our valued customers and validate our aim to always delight travellers – in Bangladesh and worldwide. All nine awards are great honour for all of us at Emirates, and they’ve come at the perfect time – just before we start our fourth daily service between Dhaka to Dubai on March 29. We were the first airline to feature Bangladeshi movies inflight and even today, our delicious regionally inspired menus and service designed keeping our customers interest in mind.”
Emirates’ fourth daily flight from March 29 will offer customers even more flight options, and from Dubai customers can take advantage of convenient connections to over 150 destinations across the globe.
