Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC will strengthen the relationship between remittance houses and foreign banks to improve foreign trade and expatriate services through cooperation.
Md. Obayed Ullah Al Masud, Chairman of the bank said this while speaking as the chief at a view-exchange meeting with foreign correspondent banks' representatives at a city hotel on Tuesday.
He urged the representatives of banks and exchange houses to work with Islami Bank for the economic development of the country.
Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director of the bank, presided over the program. Md. Abdul Jalil, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Professor Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee, and Mohammad Khurshid Wahab, Independent Director addressed the program as special guests.
Among others Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Additional Managing Director, Md. Rafiqul Islam, head of the International Trade Wing, and Mohammad Masud, head of the International Services Wing of the bank were present at the program. Senior executives of Islami Bank and foreign correspondent banks' representatives in the Bangladesh office participated in the event.
