The NCC Bank, a private sector bank, is focusing on investing in start-ups, youths and women for creating new entrepreneurship in the country.
Managing director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid said this at a Meet the Press, held at the head office in Motijheel on its 30th anniversary on Wednesday.
The NCC Bank also invested Tk2,73.95 crore in green finances and Tk 2,476.98 crore in the sustainable finance sector as a commitment to encourage green investment, he said.
The bank is prioritising innovative banking and setting up an innovation centre to generate ideas and find new investment schemes and create employment in the country, Rashid said.
The NCC Bank made a profit of Tk715 crore in 2022 as per target, despite challenges of global economic slowdown and inflation in the domestic economy.
The bank started its journey on May 17, 1993, as national Credit and Commerce or NCC Bank. In its inception, the bank had 16 branches and now it has 125 full branches and 6 sub-branches.
Besides, it operates142 ATM booths and 10 CRM offices (customer relationship management) across the country.
Additional Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Directors Md Mahbub Alam, Md Rafayat Ullah Khan, M Askejur Rahman, and Zakir Anam, among others, spoke at the function.
