A total seven crude bombs exploded at Shankarpur Chopdarpara Primary School police centre and Ghop Jail Road BEd College polling centre in the Jashore city.
The incident took place on Saturday at around 7 pm.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Officials at the Shankarpur Chopdarpara Primary School police centre said two crude bombs were exploded from the west side of the centre around 7pm. On receiving the information, members of the striking force immediately came to the spot.
Assistant District Commanding Officer of Ansar-VDP Jashore Shafiqul Islam, who is in charge of the polling centre, said, "We have received information that miscreants hurled two crude bombs at Shankarpur Government Primary School polling center. But there was no problem at the polling station.”
At the same time, five crude bombs exploded at BEd College polling centre on Ghop Jail Road in the city.
In the evening, the miscreants threw five crude bombs in front of the college and fled.
District Assistant Commanding Officer Shafiqul Islam also said that legal action will be taken in this regard after talking to senior police officers.
