Independent candidate in Habiganj-4 constituency, also a renowned face in social media, Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon secured his win in the 12th parliamentary election defeating the Awami League candidate and incumbent State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali.
Sumon bagged the seat getting 1, 69, 99 votes where his nearest rival incumbent State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali got 69, 543 votes.
Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman works as a prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunals. Although Suman is a lawyer, he is widely known for his social media activities.
