Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has won the Noakhali-5 constituency in the 12th parliamentary election held on Sunday.
He received 171,577 votes with his party’s ‘boat’ symbol, while his nearest rival, Barrister Khaja Tanveer Ahmed of the Jatiya Party, bagged 9,703 votes.
