Though the 46-year-old actor is yet to make a formal announcement, Indian media reports said, Hrithik is reportedly in talks to play the parallel lead in a multi-million spy thriller project backed by a reputed production house in the US. Recently, the Bollywood's dancing sensation even sent his audition to the producers in Los Angeles, the reports said.
“As is customary in Los Angeles, Hrithik’s team was given details of his role in the movie and the scenes that he had to tape. He sent his audition to the studio two weeks ago. The discussion is at a nascent stage. If all goes well, the actor will kick off the project after completing the shoot of Krrish 4,” the Mid-Day tabloid reported, quoting a source.
What lends credence to the fact that Hrithik has been looking west is his agreement with The Gersh Agency, a talent agency based in Beverly Hills, California, earlier this year.
After he was signed by Gersh, his manager Amrita Sen had told the media, "For the last 20 years, Hrithik has been helping to drive Indian cinema into new genres, new narrative concepts and ever-more sophisticated storytelling. In partnership with Gersh, we will now be taking Hrithik’s ambitious vision around the world."
Though he played brief roles as a child actor in several Bollywood films in the 1980s, Hrithik made his debut in the Indian film industry as a star in the blockbuster 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000), made by his father Rakesh Roshan, for which he received several awards.
One of the highest-paid actors in India, Hrithik has won many awards, including six Filmfares, four for Best Actor and one each for Best Debut and Best Actor (Critics). Starting in 2012, he appeared in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 based on his income and popularity.
