Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner has spoken about the emotional pain she went through after her separation from actor Ben Affleck, saying losing a true partnership and friendship was very hard for her.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Garner said the most difficult part was the breakup of their family. She said the loss of trust, companionship and friendship was what hurt the most.
Garner and Affleck got married in 2005 and separated in 2015. Their divorce was finalised in 2018.
The couple now co-parent their three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. Garner said she has reached a stage where they can raise their children together with peace and understanding.
She said time helps people heal, forgive and move forward, and it also helps rebuild friendship in a new way.
Garner also stressed the importance of close personal relationships in building emotional strength. She said spending time with loved ones gives her the resilience to face life’s challenges.
On media gossip, Garner said she avoids reading stories about herself and her family as it does not help her or her children.
