The buzz around War 2 is gaining momentum, as new character posters of the action-packed sequel—starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR—were unveiled on Thursday, May 26, igniting fan excitement online. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theatres on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Major Kabir, returning with a darker, more intense look. The poster shows a close-up of the actor with a bruised face, gripping a weapon and wearing a grim expression. The accompanying caption read:

"This time he is ruthless, merciless, relentless and ready for WAR! Are you? The countdown begins now. 50 Days to War 2."

Kiara Advani makes a powerful impression in her poster, exuding fierce energy in an all-black outfit. Pictured wielding a gun with a commanding pose, her look signals that she’s more than ready to hold her own in the film’s high-octane world.

"She is lithe, lethal and locked on target. This is WAR!" the caption declared.

Jr NTR also makes a fiery entrance—caught mid-action in his poster, firing a gun with another one in his grip. His caption read:

"He is resolute and fearless. And he will never stop hunting. WAR is coming!"

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is the next chapter in the YRF Spy Universe, following the massive success of War (2019), directed by Siddharth Anand.

Speaking about the project, Mukerji said, “It's a huge responsibility to take forward a hugely loved franchise like War and leave your own mark on it. I saw directing War 2 as a relishing opportunity to give a hat-tip to the first film.”

He added, “You need to honor what’s been built and still take it somewhere new—on a journey that excites fans of the franchise and the stars involved. That was my goal.”

War 2 promises high-stakes action, intense performances, and a fresh narrative, making it one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2025.
