Dhaka Flow’s second annual Youth Wellness Festival officially wrapped up on Monday at East West University (EWU), completing a powerful tour across 10 major universities in Dhaka.

Reaching thousands of students through transformational programming on mental health, movement, mindfulness, and leadership, the festival has become a beacon for a new era of youth, according to its organizers.

Kicked off on April 13, the Dhaka Flow Youth Wellness Fest 2025 has touched hearts and minds across NSU, IUBAT, Canadian University, ULAB, IUB, Presidency University, UCB, BRAC University, AIUB, and lastly EWU on Monday, spreading the message that wellness is strength, therapy is courage, and every student deserves tools to thrive.

The EWU event was joined by a great number of enthusiastic participants for the engaging plenary sessions and uplifting activities. 

Moderated by Shazia Omar, CEO of Dhaka Flow and a celebrated Yogini, the first plenary session was joined by Lowell Campbell, Global Digital Finance Specialist at International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Fahmidur Rahman Oni, Co-founder and Principal of DMR Institute of Skill Development and Local President of JCI Dhaka United. The second session was joined by Kazi Shobnom, Senior Psychologist at United Hospital and Chowdhury Tasneem Hasin, Chief Clinical Dietitian at United Hospital.

“Seeing students open up and support each other has been the most powerful reminder of why we started this movement,” said Shazia Omar, founder of Dhaka Flow. “This generation is ready to prioritize healing and leadership through wellness—and they’re doing it with passion and purpose.”

At the festival, students engaged in a day of immersive sessions including yoga, breathwork, meditation, self-defense, Zumba, and panel discussions on mental health and nutrition. The energy was electric as students danced, stretched, reflected, and connected.

The sessions were conducted by Eeman Ahmed (Yoga), Eduardo Alcanzare & Shadman Sakif (Mixed Martial Arts and Self-Defense), and Rawan & Wahida (Lifestyle Fitness). 

"These sessions felt really amazing and energizing amid our busy University schedule," Tahsin, a participant, told UNB. Another participant, Choyon, expressed that wellness activities are essential for university students to help them maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The month-long fest featured sessions delivered by top coaches, healthcare professionals, and thought leaders such as Tabith Awal (President, Bangladesh Football Federation), and Faiaz Rahman (Founder, Turaag Active) and top youth entrepreneurs from JCI Bangladesh.

The festival was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Olympic Industries Limited, Techno Drugs Ltd and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh.
