State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury attended the seminar held at BSA’s National Art Gallery as its chief guest. Eminent educationist and art critic Professor Nazrul Islam and senior journalist Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul also attended the seminar as guest speakers.
Focusing on Prime Minister’s struggles, hardships and achievements as a successful administrator, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said “Our Prime Minister is constantly receiving global plaudits for her bold, effective activities as the leader of our nation, and her achievements are also making Bangladesh proud as a nation.”
Professor Nazrul, praising the PM for her majestic role in the development of arts and culture, said “BSA was established by the father of our nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman where the culture of Bangladesh is constantly getting nurtured through effective programmes and activities. Our PM Sheikh Hasina is successfully following his footsteps and she also has the vision to establish the long-cherished ‘Sonar Bangla Cultural Hub’, through which the culture of our nation will get even more accelerated.”
The speakers also praised the month-long exhibition on PM’s life and major events in her career, titled “Sheikh Hasina – Bangladesh er Shopnosharathi” (Sheikh Hasina – The Dream Chaser of Bangladesh).
Presiding over the event, BSA director Liaquat Ali Lucky said “PM Sheikh Hasina believes cultural freedom is equally important as political freedom for a nation, and this exhibition is a dedicated portrayal to her broad visionaries as our leader”.
After the seminar, the speakers and other guests visited the exhibition and praised the artworks of the artists.
Set to be concluded on 27th October, the exhibition is going to be displayed at galleries 1 and 6 of the National Art Gallery complex every day 11 am to 8 pm and 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday.
