A group of attackers from a road march brought out by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the port city today allegedly vandalised the main election camp of Mohiuddin Bachchu, Awami League (AL) nominated candidate for Chattogram-10 consistency by-polls.
A video posted on Awami League’s verified Facebook page shows men from the road march attacking the office designated for AL candidate Mohiuddin Bachchu.

On Wednesday evening, a group of activists from BNP and its associate bodies brought out a procession and as they reached Lalkhan Bazar area, some of them started throwing brick chips targeting the AL election camp, local AL activists said.
The attackers also tore down banners and posters at the AL election camp.

The video shows men armed with sticks and rods throwing brick chips and stones while another group is seen vandalising the office.

The caption with the video posted on AL’s verified Facebook page reads: “Is this a peaceful protest? Should the people of this country allow BNP to carry out such violent activities? We condemn such acts of terror.”
