Bangladesh Awami League has called on its leaders, activists, supporters, and people of the country to celebrate the 78th birthday of Sheikh Hasina on September 28 in a befitting manner.
In a statement shared on the party’s verified Facebook page, Awami League said: “On this occasion, prayers will be organized in mosques, temples, pagodas, and churches across the country, wishing her long life, good health, and for the nation to overcome its current challenges.”
The party also noted that Hasina is currently facing challenges posed by what it described as "anti-liberation forces" and "domestic and foreign conspirators involved in bloodshed and destruction."
The message also expressed confidence that the younger generation will be inspired by her leadership. "Under her great leadership, the crimson sun will rise over the green land of Bangladesh, overcoming all confusion, falsehoods, and fear."
