"Every mass killing in this country must be prosecuted,â he said.
The Jamaat leader condemned the violence that had taken place last year, specifically from July 1 to August 5, which he described as turning Bangladesh into a "hell."
The Jamaat Ameer demanded accountability for the deaths and injuries that occurred during this period, urging the government to prioritise the trial of those responsible for the mass killings.
âThe souls of the martyrs will find peace, the injured will find solace, and the 18 crore oppressed people will experience happiness once justice is served,â he added.

The Jamaat leader also expressed concerns about the killings, saying that within a month, between 1,500 and 2,000 lives were lost. He reminded that those who sacrificed their lives did so not to bring any group to power but to create an egalitarian, humane, and corruption-free Bangladesh. He also emphasised the need for essential reforms before any elections could be held, reaffirming Jamaat's commitment to a peaceful, fair electoral process.
The Jamaat ameer added that his party was not rushing into power, instead advocating for meaningful reforms to ensure a democratic election where the people's choice prevails.
