Road, Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said that the “game is on,” and they will give fitting responses to Tarique Rahman, against vote theft, Hawa Bhaban and the “bogus” one-point demand.
He made the remarks while addressing the peace rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka on Friday afternoon.

"Tarique Rahman is threatening the police, the administration. He tells Fakhrul that there will be no shortage of money for the movement," he said.
Terming BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman a “thief”, the Awami League general secretary said, “Tarique Zia chor hai, gali gali mein shor hai".
He said that Tarique and BNP hired lobbyists to write letters to the UN, the US. “Where did they get this audacity? They have laundered thousands of crores.”

"Don't try to intimidate us. We can't be overthrown by intimidation. Sheikh Hasina is a trusted representative of the people of Bangladesh," he said.
Obaidul Quader said in the game of politics, no one can defeat Awami League.
Quader said, "Tarique Rahman, Fakhrul, Amir Khasru do not obey the law... Tarique Rahman threatens the Supreme Court again and again. He was sentenced to life in prison."
Meanwhile, Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League and Chhatra League have made a five-point joint announcement at the rally. Swechchhasebak League General Secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu read out the joint declaration.

The five-point joint announcement includes:
1. Coordinating students and youths to prevent arson and terrorism.
2. Resisting conspiracies of evil forces.
3. Demanding election as per the constitution.
4. Working for the continuation of Bangladesh's development under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

5. Being vocal for a secular Bangladesh in the spirit of the Liberation War.
Earlier, Baitul Mukarram’s South Gate and adjacent areas turned into a human sea as hundreds of thousands of leaders and activists from the three associate bodies of Awami league from across the country joined the ongoing peace rally.
Starting with recorded rendition of patriotic songs, the rally witnessed a massive surge of people taking pledge to “not let the country be devastated by BNP-Jamaat backed terrorism again.”
Carrying national flags, festoons and banners, leaders and activists of the AL associate bodies converged at the venue with top leaders delivering their addresses from the stage.
