Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the BNP, on Sunday announced that it will organise human chains in educational institutions across the country on Monday to protest the growing incidents of rape, online harassment and violence against women.
The programme also aims to register a protest against the deterioration of law and order in the country, alongside the widespread lack of justice for victims of such crimes.
JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir made the announcement in a press release, signed by the organisationâs office secretary M Jahangir Alam.

âThe Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has announced a human chain programme in all educational institutions across the country on Monday to protest violence, oppression, rape, and online harassment against women, as well as the overall deterioration of law and order and the culture of impunity,â it reads.
The JCD president and general secretary called upon all their members, leaders, and activists to actively participate in the programme to make it a success.
