Former MP and BNP central executive committee member Nazim Uddin Alam has been appointed as a member of the party Chairman’s Advisory Council.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the appointment in a media release on Friday.
“Under the party constitution, Nazim Uddin Alam has been nominated as a member of the Chairman’s Advisory Council,” the press release said.
The party said it expects Alam to play an effective role in strengthening BNP through thoughtful advice and organisational activities.
Nazim Uddin Alam was elected to parliament three times from Bhola-4 on the BNP ticket.
For the upcoming 13th parliamentary election, BNP has nominated Nurul Islam Noyon, general secretary of the Jubo Dal, as its candidate in the same constituency.
