Awami League nominated candidate for Dhaka-3 constituency Nasrul Hamid has alleged that BNP is carrying out arson attacks and killing people to thwart the 12th National Election.
“BNP has lost the opportunity to measure their popularity by not coming to the election. In fact, they have withdrawn from the election because of their lack of public involvement. Now they are conspiring to thwart the election through terrorism,” he said.

Nasrul was speaking at a courtyard meeting held at Birbaghair Government Primary School in Ward-8 of Konda union of Keraniganj on Tuesday.
"This morning, four innocent people, including a child, were killed by setting fire to a train. The common people will answer this with a ballot revolution on January 7,” said the AL candidate.

“BNP's arson attacks have been going on in Keraniganj for some time. The people resisted them. These arsonists have no popularity, no public base, so they are trying to create fear in the minds of the people. If they had popularity, they would have proved themselves through voting,” he said.
Keraniganj Upazila Parishad Chairman and South Keraniganj Thana Awami League President Shahin Ahmed, General Secretary ME Mamun, Konda Union Parishad Chairman Faruk Chowdhury were present at the time, among others.
