Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged all registered political parties to participate in the next parliamentary elections.
He made the remark while exchanging views with journalists during a stopover in Feni on his way to Noakhali from Dhaka on Saturday.
“We believe that they (BNP) will take part in the elections. We welcome all registered parties,” he said.
Clearing the stance of the government party during the elections, he said the government has no chance to intervene in the elections while the government will only perform their routine works.

Defying the caretaker government, he said there is no more chance of the caretaker government and the elections will be held under the Election Commission.
He alleged that all left and right parties merged to oust Premier Sheikh Hasina's government.
Most of the parties of the BNP-led alliance are only fit to carry signboards, he said.
Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, said the reserve condition of Bangladesh is better than Pakistan as their reserve now stands at $9 billion.

Criticising the role of some people about the fare of the Metro Rail, he questioned how the fare is excessive if anyone has now to count a Tk 20 to board on rickshaw. “See your face in the mirror before saying anything to us.”
He further said that the law enforcing agencies will give a befitting reply once Jamaat-e-Islami wants to go through a rampage.
