Way Forward
The Bangladesh U19 team had high expectations going into the 2022 ICC U19 World Cup as defending champions. Bangladesh only made it to the quarterfinals of the Super League. They were also last among the top eight teams. However, Bangladesh can take positives from some outstanding individual performances. The youth team's top performers in the competition were Ariful Islam in batting and Ripon Mondol in bowling. They have a bright future ahead of them if the Bangladesh Cricket Board properly nurtures these players.
