Bangladesh Archery team left the capital for Bangkok on Friday to participate in the 23rd Asian Archery Championship' 2023 and Asian Continental Qualifying Tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The 23rd Asian Archery Championship will begin on Sunday (Nov 5) in the Thai capital.
Bangladesh team includes three officials and eight archers-- four male and four female.
Bangladesh will compete in eight Asian Archery events--recurve men' s team, recurve men's singles, recurve women' s team, recurve women's singles, recurve mixed team, compound men's singles, compound women's singles and compound mixed team
On completion of Asian events, a six-member Bangladesh recurve team--three male and three female archers-- will compete in the Asian Continental Qualifying Tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games there from November 10-12.
Members of Bangladesh team are- Hakim Ahmed Rubel, Roman Shana, Sagor Islam, Diya Siddiqui, Shima Akter Shimu, Monira Akter (recurve archer),Mohammad Ashiqquzzaman and Bonnya Akter (compound archer).
Officials are: Kazi Razjbuddin Ahmed Chapol (manager), Martin Frederick (head coach) and Mohammad Hasan (assistant coach)
