Grand Master Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh made a good start in the 29th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival, Masters event, by beating Armenian IM Denielyan Vaha in the first round match held in UAE city of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
In the other first round matches on Wednesday, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Rating-2398) of Bangladesh drew with GM Yen Ngoc Throng Son (Rating-2641) of Vietnam, FM Tahsin Tazwar Zia drew with IM Zou Chen of China while GM Enamul Hossain Razib lost to GM Suleymanli Aydin of Azerbaijan.
The 2nd round matches began on Thursday evening Bangladesh time.

In the 2nd round matches, GM Ziaur Rahman playing with GM Aryan Chopra of India, GM Enamul Hossain Razib playing with Ammer Serdani of UAE, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman playing against GM Vakhidov Shamsiddin of Uzbekistan while FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia is playing with IM Sammed Jayakumar Shete.
A total of 145 players including 41 Grand Masters, 6 Women Grand Masters, 54 International Masters and 3 Women International Masters from 24 countries are participating in this event.
