Bangladesh women's football team completed their round-2 matches of the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers in empty hand losing to stronger Australia by 0-4 goal in the last match at the National Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi on Sunday.
Ruma Akhter-led Bangladesh women's team was trailing by 0-1 goal in the first half.

Striker Sienna Dale made a hattrick in the match scoring all the four goals for Australia in the 2nd, 57th, 61st and 74th minutes.
After the day's huge defeat, Bangladesh was eliminated from the meet maintaining their losing streak in the Group B.
On completion of all the three Group B matches, Australia emerged group champions with all-win record securing full nine points, hosts Vietnam finished runners up with six points, the Philippines was placed 3rd with three points while Bangladesh finished last without any point.

Earlier, Bangladesh team started their Group B engagements of the AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup with 0-2 goal against hosts Vietnam last Wednesday and confirmed their exit from meet losing to the Philippines by 1-3 goals in the 2nd match last Friday.
