Touring Afghanistan U-19 team earned a three-wicket victory over hosts Bangladesh U-19 to win the one-off Youth Test on day 4 Saturday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh, trailing by 119 runs after each side batted once, resumed their 2nd innings on day 4 on an overnight total of 170 for 4 but were bundled out cheaply for 228.
Izharulhaq Naveed of Afghanistan claimed four wickets for 48 runs, Bilal Sami bagged three wickets conceding 40 while Nangeyalia Kharote took two for 29 runs.
Chasing a target of 110 runs, the tourists scored 113 for 7 in 43.2 overs to win the four-day match.

Bilal Sayedi scored 54 runs off 108 balls featuring 10 boundaries, while lower order Kamran Hotak was not out 20 runs off 70 deliveries with three fours to see his team through to victory.
Bangladesh tried, with Mushfiq Hasan, Aich Mollah and Ripon Mondal capturing two wickets each conceding 26, 32 and 34 runs respectively, but it wasn’t enough.
