Earlier, Bangladesh Archery Federation selected 24 archers in the final phase, two each from 12 district level training camps, among 2,555 participants at the grassroots level from April 23 to October 31 this year and finally selected 10 brilliant archers among 24 for the higher training at home and aboard.
The federation handed over the certificates among the 19 archers out of finally selected 24 at a function at the Dutch-Bangladesh Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) on Thursday afternoon.
BOA Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza was the chief guest at the day’s certificate distribution and closing ceremony.
Chaired by BAF President Lt Gen (retd) Mohammad Moinul Islam, Executive Director of City Group Shoeb Mohammad Asaduzzaman, German Head Coach of Bangladesh Frederick Martin and BAF General Secretary Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapal also spoke on the occasion.
Ten selected archers are: Aung Sing Marma, Dipon Murung, Usai May Marma (Bandarban), Abu Sufian Pranta (Dinajpur), Imran Hossain (Dhaka), Jannatul Islam Khan (Faridpur), Rahat Sheikh (Narail), Rifatuzzaman Ovai (Rajshahi), Sourav Roy (Nilphamari), Usai Sing Marma (Chattogram).
