In the men’s recruve singles, Bangladesh’s premier archer Md Ruman Shana, Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel were eliminated from the round of 16 while Sakib Molla made early exist from round of 24.
In the day’s 3rd round matches, Shana beat Matan Florante of the Philippines by 7-1 set points in the round of 24, but conceded a 2-6 set points defeat against Tanapat Pathairat of Thailand in the round of 16.
Tamimul defeated Kim Sung of North Korea in the round of 24,but conceded 5-6 set points defeat against JayantaTalukdar of World Archery Federation team in the round of 16
Rubel beat Shi Zhenqiof China by 6-5 set points in the round of 24, but eliminated from the round of 16 after conceding2-6 set points defeat to FengHao of China.
Sakib Molla suffered 0-6 set points defeat against Jayanta Talukder of World Archery Federation in the round of 24.
In the women’s recurve singles, all the four Bangladeshi archers – Mahanaz Akter Monera, Nasrin Akter, Ety Khatun and Beauty Ray -- were eliminated from round of 24.
Monera conceded 5-6 set points defeat against Mazlan Nuramalia of Malaysia, Nasrin conceded 2-6 set points defeat against Ankita Bhakat of World Archery Federation team, Ety suffered 0-6 set points defeat against An Qixuan of China while Beauty Ray conceded 3-7 set points defeat against TomokaOhashi of Japan.
In the men’s compound singles, AshimKumer Das eliminated from round of 16 after conceding 143-147 defeat against Mohan Bhardwaj of World Archery Federation team while SohelRana eliminated from round of 16 after conceding 140-145 defeat against AbhishekVerma of World Archery Federation team.
In the day’s women’s compound singles, Shamoli Ray was eliminated after conceding 136-143 defeat against KirarMuskanof World Archery Federation team while SusmitaBanik was eliminated after conceding 137-143 defeat against Lin Ming-Ching of Chinese Taipei in the round of 16.
In the recurve mixed team, Bangladesh team comprises Shana and Monera were eliminated from round of 8 after conceding 1-5 set points defeat against Un Ju Kang and Tae BomRi of South Korea.
In the compound mixed teams, Bangladesh team comprises Ashim and Susmita were eliminated from quarterfinals after conceding 154-155 scores defeat against ChaewonSo and Jaewon Yang of South Korea.
Ashim and Susmita reached quarterfinal beating KanyaveeManeesombatkul and SirapopChainak of Thailand by 154-146 in the round of 8.
In the recurveteam event, Bangladesh men’s team comprises Shana, Tamimul and Rubel will play against Hoang Phi Vu Nguyen, DucAnh Chu and Loc Hoang Van of Vietnam in the round of 8 while Bangladesh women’s recurve team comprises Monera, Ety and Nasrin will play against Chien-Ying Lei, Fang-Chen Wang and Yu-Chen Yeh in the round of 8 on Tuesday.
In the compound team event, Bangladesh men’s team comprises Ashim, Sohel and Md Ashikuzzaman will face SirapopChainak, NitiphumChatachot and DhansaritItsarangkun Na Ayutthaya of Thailand in round of 8 while Bangladesh women’s team comprises BonnaAkther, Susmita and Shamoli will play against Jennifer Dy Chan, Anne De La Cruz Rachelle and Andrea Robles of Philippines in round of 8 on Tuesday.
