Bangladesh tasted the first victory in their 3rd Pool A match of the 12-nation 19th Asian Games Men's Hockey beating Singapore by 7-3 goals at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium in Hangzhou on Thursday.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a 2-7 goals defeat against defending champions Japan in the first match and conceded a 2-5 goals defeat against eight-time Asian Games champions Pakistan in the 2nd match.

In the day's match, Pushkar Khisha Mimo, who scored one goal each against both Japan and Pakistan, today (Thursday) also opened the Bangladesh account in the very 7th minute (1-0).
Milon Hossain doubled the Bangladesh margin in the 23rd minute (2-0) while Ashraful Islam scored the 3rd goal for Bangladesh in the 35th minute from a penalty stroke (3-0).

Hariraj Naidu and Kent Loo reduced the margin for Singapore scoring two quick goals in the 38th and 39th minutes respectively (3-2).
But, Arshad Hossain and Rakibul Hasan further sounded the Bangladesh margin scoring two more goals in the 44th and 47th minutes (5-2) while Hariraj Naidu again pulled the margin one back in the 51st minute (5-3).
Shohanur Rahman Sabuj of Bangladesh sealed the fate of the match scoring two more goals from penalty corners in the 57th and 60th minutes respectively enabling the team to a comfortable 7-3 goals victory.

Bangladesh, which was placed in six-team Pool A of the Asiad Hockey with India, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore and Uzbekistan, will play Uzbekistan on Sept 30 and India on October 2 in remaining Pool A matches
Meanwhile, Bangladesh's fasted man Imranur Rahman will start his Asian Games campaign competing in the games hot event of the men's 100- meter sprint on Friday.
He will compete in heats number five of the event at 8 pm Bangladesh time.
