Asif Imran and Shuvi Biswas will represent Bangladesh in the Asian Snooker Championship’2025 scheduled to be held at the QBSF Academy in the Qatar capital Doha from February 15 to 21.
Bangladesh Billiards and Snooker Federation (BBSF) announced the names of two players Asif Imran and Shuvo Biswas to represent Bangladesh after a five-day qualifying round held at Banani Club in the capital.
A total of 32 players competed in the qualifying round of the tournament, showcasing their skills and determination to earn a place in the prestigious Asian Snooker Championship.
Asif Imran, having 19-year of experience in the sport, with a highest break of 130, has won over 15 domestic titles and was a quarterfinalist in the SAARC Snooker Championship earlier this month.

Asif has represented Bangladesh in the IBSF World Snooker Championship 2022 in Qatar, SAARC Snooker Championship 2022 in Bangladesh and IBSF Asian Snooker Championship in 2023.
Shuvo Biswas, who began his snooker career in 2004, has a highest break of 114. He is a three-time national champion, having defeated Ireland in the World Cup 6 Red Championship in 2022 in Malaysia and in the SAARC Snooker Championship in 2022 in Sri Lanka..
Shuvo has also represented Bangladesh in the IBSF World Cup 6 Red Championship 2022 and the SAARC Snooker Championships in 2021 and 2022.

The qualifying round began with an inaugural ceremony on January 15, attended by Rubel Aziz, President of Banani Club Limited as the chief guest. Brigadier General (Retd.) Sarker Mohammad Shamsuddin, President of BBSF also joined as a special guest and Riasat Karim Bhuiyan, General Secretary of BBSF, among others, were also present on the occasion.
With their proven skills and dedication, the two players Asif Imran and Shuvo Biswas are now preparing to represent Bangladesh in the international stage--the Asian Snooker Championship 2025.
