Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan ripped the Indian team apart – registering his fourth five-for in ODIs – on the tricky Mirpur surface today.
Shakib began with a bang, claiming the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in his opening over. From then on, he never looked back and finished with an exceptional five-wicket haul against India, with another double-strike in his seventh over.
After his initial success with the ball, Shakib kept striking and claimed the scalps of Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Dipak Chahar in just 6.4 overs.
It was Shakib's fourth five-wicket haul in ODIs. He has two similar achievements against Zimbabwe and one against Afghanistan.

The Indian batters had a tough time facing the spin prowess of Shakib in Mirpur, as the rugged surface provided plenty of assistance to the bowlers.
Bangladesh's pace attack discovered varying bounce while the spinners were gifted ample varieties as well – truly making this a challenging encounter between Indian batters and Bangladeshi bowlers.
Whilst the other batters were battling against tough bowling challenge, Lokesh Rahul stood out with an impressive half-century in the match.
After 39 overs, India were batting at 168 for eight with Mohammed Siraj and Rahul were batting at 4 and 67, respectively.
