Swadhinata Krira Sangha made a good start to the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) Football 2022-23, beating Little Friends Club 2-0 in the opening match at the Birshreshtha Birshrestha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital's Kamalapur on Wednesday.
Sagar Miah Shawon put the Swadhinata KS ahead in the 27th minute. Iqbal Hossain sealed the victory for them scoring one more goal in the added time (45+1 minute) of the first half in the afternoon.
Earlier, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan (Manik), vice-president of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) and convener of the working sub-committee of the BFF Professional League Management Committee, and member of the working committee Abdur Rahim were present at the day's inaugural ceremony.
